Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• 6 months of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• Residence within 40 miles of Opelika, Alabama.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and DOT drug screen.
• No major moving violations in 3 years; no at-fault accidents in 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an assigned tractor-trailer on a dedicated retail account.
• Complete daily delivery runs to national retail locations.
• Make approximately 3–4 retail stops per load.
• Return to the distribution center to reload.
• Operate in a slip-seat environment and handle no-touch freight.
• Maintain accurate vehicle inspection reports, logs and required paperwork.
• Follow dispatch instructions and scheduled delivery times.
• Communicate with dispatch and support teams regarding routes and deliveries.
• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality; follow DOT safety rules.

CDL Driver Pay

Drivers are paid based on mileage plus additional compensation opportunities:

• Base mileage: $0.48–$0.60 per mile
• Night-shift bonus: +$0.05 per mile
• Weekend bonus: +$0.04 per mile
• Top mileage rate: Up to $0.69 per mile on loaded and empty miles
• Short-haul pay: $40 for runs under 40 miles
• Stop pay: $10 per stop; $15 for each additional stop
• Detention pay: $20 per hour after 2 hours
• Average weekly earnings: $1,300–$1,550
• Weekly earnings may reach $1,700 based on miles, stops, schedule and additional-pay opportunities

Schedule & Home Time

• Home every day

Class A CDL Driver Responsibilities

As a Class A CDL Driver, you will:

• Safely operate an assigned tractor-trailer on a dedicated retail account

• Handle 100% no-touch freight

• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality
• Follow company policies and DOT safety and compliance requirements

Class A CDL Driver Requirements

To qualify, you must have:

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 6 months of recent tractor-trailer experience
• Residence within 40 miles of Opelika, Alabama
• No major moving violations within the past 3 years
• No at-fault accidents within the past 12 months
• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• Ability to pass a DOT drug screen
• Ability to meet applicable DOT and company compliance requirements
• Reliable transportation to and from the distribution center
• Strong backing and maneuvering skills
• Ability to work a consistent night-shift schedule
