Universal Logistics is seeking qualified Class A CDL drivers to join its team for intermodal drayage across the U.S. Home daily with 5:00am-5:00pm shifts, long and short lanes, and consistent year‑round work.

This position offers a full benefits package, paid time off, paid holidays, and flat-rate pay per load with possible Hazmat reimbursement. Requires 6 months of verifiable on‑the‑job experience and a clean MVR; TWIC card is encouraged.

Formación

• Intermodal experience preferred but not required.
• 6 months of verifiable on the job experience in the last year.
• Clean MVR - no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight to and from customer locations.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
• Follow all DOT regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Secure and handle freight properly (may include loading/unloading depending on the employer).
• Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs, delivery records, and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
• Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Prior intermodal experience preferred but not required
• Class A CDL Hazmat preferred. Universal will reimburse if interested in obtaining.
• 6 months of verifiable on the job experience in the last year
• Clean MVR - no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years
