Job summary

Universal Logistics in Baltimore is seeking a full-time truck driver to meet delivery schedules and operate a tractor-trailer with a CDL-A. You will perform pre-trip to post-trip inspections, maintain records, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Expect direct communication with dispatchers and customers, and a typical week averaging around 50 hours. Compensation includes a strong pay plan with weekly earnings, home nightly, and opportunities through the U-SAV program and

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of tractor trailer experience.
• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Must obtain TWIC & Hazmat within 60 days.
• Proven clean driving record.
• Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation tools.

Universal Intermodal services all major US Ports and intermodal Rail Ramps and offers domestic door-to-door drayage to and from Ports, Rails, and Customer Facilities. We operate from 40 terminals and eight container yards. We provide Chassis, Containers, Drayage, and Services for Imports, Exports, and Domestic moves.

Responsibilities:

• Meet delivery schedules efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and other expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding transportation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.

Requirements:

• 6 months or more of tractor trailer experience
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A required.

• Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation tools.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
