Job summary

LVM Materials LLC in New York seeks a CDL-A Truck Driver (Bulk Milk Truck) to transport bulk milk between farms, dairies and commercial outlets. You will operate a heavily insulated tanker, inspect milk quality, load and unload, monitor gauges and logs, and ensure on-time, safe delivery while complying with FDA standards.

Experience with hose connections, valve operation, and routine truck washing is preferred; willingness to perform occasional paperwork and inspections to meet regulatory

Responsibilities

• Operating a heavily insulated tank truck to transport bulk milk between farms, dairies and commercial establishments.
• Examining milk to detect sediment or stale odor and taking samples for laboratory analysis.
• Observing the level gauge of the storage tank and computing and recording the weight of milk in the tank.
• Connecting hoses and turning valves to pump milk into the truck.
• Washing the truck and may clean and sterilize the tank.
• Loading and driving refrigerated vans to haul cans of milk.
• Conducting vehicle inspections and submitting inspection papers, driver logs, and other legal documents.
• Giving grades to the milk in bulk tanks and handling quality control to ensure it meets FDA standards.
• Ensuring safe operation of the milk truck at all times and on-time delivery.
