Job summary

Airgas, Inc. in Canton, OH is hiring a CDL A Bulk Driver to haul industrial gases, typically over long distances, and load/unload safely and on schedule. You will work nights and weekends with home daily routes and a competitive pay package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer to deliver and off-load compressed and liquefied gases.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report safety issues as required.
• Complete all DOT and company reports accurately and on time.
• Haul Argon, Nitrogen, and Oxygen via tanker as assigned.

Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle (Tractor-trailer) combination, usually long distances, to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases to customers or to storage sites in a safe, timely, accurate, and courteous manner.

• Perform pre & post trip inspections to identify any maintenance action that may be required and act appropriately if action is needed.
• Report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations, and customer complaints to include service interruptions immediately to their supervisor.
• Complete and submit reports as required by the DOT and/or Airgas company policy.
• Tanker - Hauling Argon (LAR), Nitrogen (LIN), Oxygen (LOX)

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• 3+ year experience as driver of tractor - trailer vehicles
• Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two years technical college or military technical experience
• Preferred, Three (3) years of HazMat or Tanker experience
