Job summary

Jefferson-Lewis-Hamilton-Herkimer-Oneida BOCES is looking for hourly CDL-A and CDL-B Driving Instructors to train adult students in driving. Applicants must have a valid NYS CDL-A driver's license and experience with manual vehicles. The role includes scheduling, training, and reporting student progress to the Federal Motor Carrier's Safety Administration.

Flexible hours are available, compensating at a rate of $35/hour. Candidates should be prepared for background checks and to meet additional eligibility requirements.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid NYS CDL-A driver’s license.
• Experience driving manual tractor-trailer and/or dump truck is required.
• Ability to train and mentor adult students effectively.

Responsibilities

• Train adult students to drive CDL-A and CDL-B vehicles.
• Collaborate with the Adult Education Coordinator to schedule students.
• Upload student data onto the Federal Motor Carrier's Safety Administration website.
