Job summary

Southern States Cooperative is seeking an applicator to prepare and apply agronomy products outdoors at customer sites. You will operate spreading vehicles, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. CDL or licensing may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities include inventory handling, on-site customer interaction, and extended hours during peak seasons. This role is primarily field-based with outdoor working conditions.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Prefer fertilizer application experience; forklift experience preferred.
• Licensing: Class B CDL may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and apply fertilizer, crop protectants and other treatments as per work orders.
• Operate bulk spreading vehicles and check spread patterns.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Drive to customer sites and represent SSC professionally.
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and SSC policies.
• Assist with inventory and loading of materials.
• Adapt to varied schedule and extended hours.
