Job summary
AutoNation is seeking a Certified Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards, building Customer loyalty by earning trust and ensuring safety and reliability.
You will diagnose causes of malfunctions, communicate with Parts and Service Advisors, and conduct multi-point inspections to recommend safety improvements while documenting all work for each vehicle.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician is required.
- Attention to detail and organization are essential.
- Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.

- Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized by the customer.
- Conduct multi-point inspections and make safety-related recommendations.
- Document work performed on each vehicle.
- Maintain inventory of special tools not normally in the Service department.
- Stay current with factory bulletins and training classes.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.

- Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards, to drive Customer loyalty.
- Communicating with the Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair, if authorized by the Customer.
- Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
- Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
- Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician's tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as "special tools."
- Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.

- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician
- Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs)
- Attention to detail
- Organization and follow-up skills
- Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
