Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity Education Lead to collaborate with CDI Leadership, coding teams, providers and operational leaders. You will design and deliver education on documentation best practices to improve coding accuracy and patient record quality.

You will develop tailored learning materials, lead live and recorded training, and use audits and KPI trends to identify educational opportunities, while supporting new staff orientation, change management

Qualifications

• Minimum two years as a CDS in an acute care setting.
• Certifications in CDS or RHIA/RHIT preferred.
• Experience with CDI/Coding education and auditing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead CDI education for providers on documentation best practices to improve coding accuracy.
• Develop tailored learning materials based on data trends and audits.
• Provide live and recorded training to CDI teams and providers.
• Collaborate with Leadership for new staff orientations and change management.
• Maintain knowledge of coding rules to ensure accurate patient records.
