Job summary

The CDCA/CDCA-LCDC-qualified candidate will engage clients, help develop treatment plans, lead group sessions, and maintain confidential records, while collaborating with clinicians and staff to promote recovery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• CDCA/LCDC certification or licensure is considered.
• Completion of a recognized chemical dependency counselor assistant training program or relevant certification is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Compassionate, non-judgmental and supportive demeanor.
• Knowledge of substance abuse treatment methods and relapse prevention.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills for documentation.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients individually and in groups, providing emotional support and encouragement.
• Collaborate with licensed counselors to develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Help organize and facilitate group therapy sessions and educational workshops.
• Maintain accurate client records, progress notes, and treatment plans.
• Participate in community outreach programs and educational materials about addiction recovery.
• Assist in crisis situations, providing immediate support and coordinating with the treatment team.
