Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar group, is seeking a Central Distribution Center (CDC) General Manager to lead our Minneapolis distribution operation. You will oversee a team of managers, drive safety and service metrics, and push continuous improvement to meet customer commitments.

The role emphasizes talent development, labor optimization, and strategic leadership to grow our supply chain capabilities and deliver results for a broad contractor customer base.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in operations, logistics, distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, supply chain, transportation, fulfillment, or related environments.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Experience leading managers, supervisors, or multi-functional operational teams.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse, inventory, transportation, and distribution operations.
  • Demonstrated success developing talent, leading change, and driving operational results.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Central Distribution Center (CDC) General Manager

Job type: Full time

Schedule: Monday-Friday daytime hours (may require evening/weekend hours on occasion)

*Compensation for this position includes annual salary, 20% short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role as well as the geographic location of the role.

Viking Electric is seeking a strategic and results-driven Central Distribution Center (CDC) General Manager to lead our Minneapolis distribution operation through a team of high-performing leaders.

In this role, you will drive safety, service, productivity, inventory performance, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives that support customer commitments and business growth. You'll play a key role in shaping the future of our supply chain operations while developing the next generation of operational leaders.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, automation, or warehouse management system (WMS) experience.
