Job summary

Easterseals Gilchrist Marchman Child Development Center in Chicago, IL seeks a Director to provide leadership, oversight, and program excellence. The role focuses on enrollment, family engagement, compliance, and high-quality instructional practices.

You will supervise the Assistant Center Director and other staff, ensure safety and quality, and report on performance, budget, and stakeholder engagement. This is a full-time, on-site position with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years supervisory experience.
• 3–5 years Head Start/Early Head Start experience.
• 5 years experience working with children and their families.
• Thorough knowledge of licensing requirements, ExceleRate, NAEYC, and Head Start standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of center operations and ensure program quality.
• Develop annual training calendars and lead staff development.
• Maintain enrollment, parent engagement, and funder reporting.
• Ensure compliance with licensing standards and program policies.
• Collaborate with regional and learning teams to improve outcomes.
