Job summary

The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) in Des Moines is seeking a motivated CDBG Project Manager to guide cities and counties through the full lifecycle of Community Development Block Grant projects, including water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure.

As the primary project manager and compliance expert, you will ensure federal and state requirements are met while providing technical assistance to applicants and grant administrators across Iowa.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HUD programs and federal compliance and grant administration.
• Experience with public infrastructure or construction-related projects.
• Strong communication skills to build relationships with applicants and grant recipients.

Responsibilities

• Manage CDBG projects from application through close-out and monitor milestones.
• Interpret and apply state and federal regulations, providing technical assistance to applicants and grant administrators.
• Develop guidance, training materials, and compliance resources; present information to stakeholders.
