The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development seeks a Construction Management Officer to review and monitor affordable housing projects ranging from $1 million to $35 million. The incumbent will evaluate contractor and architect plans, construction estimates, and environmental investigations, and approve requisitions at various stages of project completion.

This is a long-term contractual position based in Lanham, Maryland, offering state benefits after one year and opportunities

Qualifications

• Four years of professional financial/risk analysis experience in government lending programs OR four years of construction management experience in housing programs
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience reviewing construction plans, budgets, specifications, or reports
• Bachelor's degree can substitute for one year of required experience
• Master's degree can substitute for two years of required experience
