We have over 100 years of innovative engineered solutions for critical, industrial, and commercial applications.We are the experts in our industry.General Position Summary: The Armor Operator is responsible for setting up and running all armor products, including wire, strap, and continuous welded armors. The Armor Operator is also responsible for producing a quality product in a safe and efficient manner while promoting a team atmosphere. This position is responsible for problem solving and proactively seeking ways to improve the Armoring process. In addition, the Armor Operator is responsible for maintaining all equipment in the Armor Work Center.Essential Duties:Continually strive to achieve continuous improvement in all activities, processes, and with all projects at Dekoron.Understands control panels and/or control knobsCan read and understand work order packets to determine customer/work order requirementsDisplays the ability to make Wire Armor and Strap Armor in-process repairsDemonstrate the ability to use mig & torch welders, mechanical pressure welder, and electronic welder.Ability to set up and operate a spark testerAbility to make Wire Armor and Strap Armor in process repairsUnderstand the proper way of using hoist when lifting/loading Strap ArmorDemonstrate the ability to use mig & torch welder – Strap ArmorDemonstrate the ability to use Mechanical pressure welder – Alum.
