Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the CCU - Coronary Care unit. You will care for intermediate and general cardiology patients in a fast-paced 23-bed telemetry unit, supported by central monitors and strong interdisciplinary collaboration.

You’ll manage titratable vasoactive drips, partner with the Cardiac Cath Lab for pre- and post-procedure care, and contribute to a growing program expanding to pacemaker management and broader cardiac surgery cases.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
• Licensed as an RN in Wisconsin or in a compact state upon hire.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification upon hire.
• ACLS within 6 months upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a 23-bed cardiac/telemetry unit with central monitors and active interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Manage titratable vasoactive drips and monitor patient status in a high-acuity setting.
• Partner with the Cardiac Cath Lab for pre- and post-procedure care and coordinate with heart failure teams.
