Portland Utilities Construction Co., LLC in Knoxville, TN is hiring CCTV Technicians to operate remote cameras, inspect pipelines, and support CIPP rehabilitation projects. You will work in a dynamic field crew environment with safety procedures for confined spaces and liner installation.

The role requires at least 1 year of CCTV experience, a valid CDL-friendly driver's license, and the ability to travel 2–3 weeks at a time.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience utilizing CCTV inspection cameras for pipeline inspections.
• NASSCO PACP and MACP certifications preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR; ability to lift 75 pounds; respirator for confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate remote CCTV cameras to record the interior condition of sewer pipelines and assess needs for cleaning or repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace within the TV truck and monitor tool and equipment condition.
• Perform confined space entry following safety procedures and install liners as needed.
• Complete and manage project paperwork for office, supervisor, and client review.
• Travel to job sites and drive vehicles to haul crews and equipment; assist with site prep and traffic control.

We are currently seeking CCTV Technicians with experience using CCTV inspection cameras for pipeline inspections; PACP certification is a plus. Join our team in Knoxville, TN. As a CCTV Technician in the cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) industry, you will operate and maintain remote cutting equipment, conduct pre- and post-video pipeline inspections, and supervise confined space entry procedures. You’ll locate lateral connections within a pipeline and assess the operating conditions and reinstatement of laterals after pipe rehabilitation. This position must also perform all duties of the Installation Technician as needed. We are currently offering a limited-time sign-on bonus of $4,000 for new hires with a valid CDL license, and sign-on bonuses for new hires without a current CDL license are also available at a reduced amount. New employees who meet the criteria outlined in our sign-on bonus program will be eligible for the full payout. The starting pay is $28.00-$32.00 per hour dependent upon experience. We offer 100% paid on-the-job training!

What You’ll Do:

• Operate remote closed-circuit cameras to record the internal condition of sewer pipelines and determine if cleaning and / or repairs are required prior to rehabilitation
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment within the TV truck including fluid levels and service condition of tools and equipment
• Confined space entry utilizing Insituform’s safety procedures to install, cut and grout the ends of the liner
• Maintain, complete and control paperwork related to a project for presentation to the office, superintendent and / or client
• Maintain, adjust, troubleshoot, and perform authorized field repairs to cameras, robots, and ancillary equipment such ascables, connectors, and reels
• Work with supervisors, clients, peers, and homeowners
• Drive various vehicles (pickups to tractor-trailer rigs) to haul crews and equipment
• Site preparation including attachment of boiler hose, prep of lay flat, laying out bypass hoses, and traffic control

What We Need From You:

• Valid driver’s license required with a clean motor vehicle report
• Minimum of one year of experience utilizing CCTV inspection cameras for pipeline inspections
• NASSCO PACP and MACPcertifications preferred, but not required
• Ability to lift / move up to 75 pounds and use pneumatic, battery-powered, or electric tools
• Must be able to wear a respirator and body harness while entering confined spaces
• Comfortable working outside at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Willingness to travel and adapt to changing project needs, which could have you away from home for 2-3 weeks at a time.
