Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a field installer in Reno, NV for a 1 year contract. The role involves installing and programming integrated security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intercom equipment at customer sites.

You will read blueprints, use test gear, and document work while adhering to national codes and guidelines. Ideal candidates will have strong low-voltage installation skills, troubleshooting ability, and the capacity to work onsite in Sparks/Reno area with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and wiring complex security systems per code and guidelines.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, submittals and manuals for installations.
• Proficiency with basic computer software and field equipment to document work.

Responsibilities

• Install, wire, and program access control, CCTV, digital recorders and intercom systems for clients.
• Read and interpret project documents; coordinate with customers and teams; ensure safety and compliance.

1 year contract, onsite in Reno, NV.

Description

Capable of installing cabling, field equipment & control equipment enclosures in customer locations according to the national electric code, company and customer guidelines. Can use electronic test equipment to solve complicated problems during installation. Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals Knowledge of computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets and databases; CCTV and access control systems; media storage. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work paying close attention to details. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining coordinated working relationships. Ability to analyze information. Can work unsupervised to complete installation jobs and is self-motivated to complete jobs. This position will be responsible for the installation of complex integrated security systems to include the wiring, equipment and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems for clients.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
