Job summary

Global Medical Response is hiring a CCT Paramedic for a full-time opportunity in Nevada. The role involves performing basic and advanced life support, and transporting critically ill or injured patients under medical direction. Must be able to function at the Advanced Life Support level and meet state and local regulations.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered with a 1-year commitment. Qualified candidates will have Southern Nevada Health District Paramedic certification, active paramedic license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Southern Nevada Health District Paramedic certification.
• Minimum 1 year licensed Paramedic in Southern Nevada.
• State Paramedic License with Critical Care Certification.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

$5,000.00 sign-on bonus with 1-year commitment

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Critical Care Paramedic performs basic and advanced life support and critical care medicine. The CC-Paramedic provides direct patient care to the critically sick and/or injured during inter-facility transports under treatment protocols as directed by the Critical Care Medical Director. In addition, the CC-Paramedic is responsible for the pre-hospital care and transportation of sick or injured patients. Must be able to function at the Advanced Life Support Level and perform all invasive procedures and skills consistent with Nevada Revised Statue 450B, State Health Regulations, and Southern Nevada Health District Regulations. Must comply with all requirements for training and re-certification, which follow Southern Nevada Health District regulations established by the Medical Advisory Board and which also comply with company policy.
