Job summary

Umpqua Health is seeking a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) to support primary care and behavioral health services within a patient-centered, community-focused clinic in Douglas County, Oregon. The role emphasizes accurate charting in EMR, patient preparation for visits, and collaboration with physicians and care teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CCMA/NCMA/CMA or RMA certification accepted at hire.
• BLS certification or will be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of primary health care, behavioral health and patient care management.
• Prepare and organize patient visits with tests, records and orders for clinician review.
• Document vital signs, subjective and objective data in EMR per policy.
• Identify health maintenance gaps and alert clinician as needed.
• Assist with discharge, patient education and medication instructions.
