Job summary

American Medical Group / Emerald Coast Infectious Diseases seeks a dependable Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our podiatry team across Fort Walton Beach and Destin. You will perform clinical tasks, process X-rays, and manage EMR documentation while assisting with front and back office duties.

This role requires travel between offices as clinic schedules dictate. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced specialty practice, chăm sóc patients, and coordinating with insurers

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA certification and be able to work in a fast-paced podiatry setting.
• Experience with EMR systems and clinical procedures preferred.
• Willingness to travel between Fort Walton Beach and Destin offices.

• Assist providers during podiatry procedures and take digital X-rays.
• Handle administrative tasks: prior authorizations, referrals, and scheduling.

American Medical Group / Emerald Coast Infectious Diseases are growing again! We are seeking a dependable, patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing Podiatry team. This position will provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient daily operations across our Fort Walton Beach and Destin clinic locations.The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty practice, assisting with patient care, performing diagnostic imaging, and supporting administrative processes such as prior authorizations and referrals. This role requires travel between our Fort Walton Beach and Destin offices based on clinic schedules.Clinical ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.Prepare patients for examination and treatment.Assist the provider during podiatric procedures and treatments as needed.Perform and process digital X-rays in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies.Provide patient education and follow-up instructions as directed by the provider.Administrative ResponsibilitiesObtain prior authorizations for imaging, procedures, medications, and other services.Coordinate and process referrals to specialists and ancillary services.Schedule appointments and assist with patient follow-up when needed.Communicate with insurance companies, imaging centers, and referring providers.Support front and back office operations during downtime to help maintain efficient patient flow.Complete additional administrative duties as assigned.In return for your commitment and hard work, we are willing to offer:$18-$20hr DOEFor Full time Employees after 90 days:Medical, Dental & Vision through CIGNAMedical Plan 100% employer paid for EmployeesDisability and life insurance options available5 days PTOAfter 1 Year:10 days PTO401k with company Match
