Job Description

Performs diagnostic sleep studies related to the evaluation and treatment of patients with sleep disorders.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:

For West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland locations:

  1. Must hold a current Allied Health Credential;
  2. OR must be enrolled in or completed a BRPT-approved Sleep Technology program or equivalent educational pathway;
  3. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire;
  4. Designated registry as a Polysomnography Tech must be obtained within 30 months of hire.

For Pennsylvania locations:

  1. Must hold a current Allied Health Credential;
  2. OR must be enrolled in or completed a BRPT-approved Sleep Technology program or equivalent educational pathway;
  3. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire;
  4. Designated registry as a Polysomnography Tech.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Associates Degree in an Allied Health Field
  2. One year of healthcare experience
  3. One year of Sleep Lab experience
  4. Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) with RPSGT credential within 18 months of hire
  5. ACLS Certification within 90 days of hire
Core Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities include scheduling procedures, ensuring accurate documentation, performing sleep studies, maintaining equipment, and participating in ongoing education and research activities. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 40 pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work during unscheduled hours
Working Environment

Performs sleep studies in accordance with policy and procedure guidelines in various hospital settings.

Skills and Abilities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients
Additional Information

Scheduled weekly hours: 36, Night shift, Non-Exempt status. Located at CCMC Camden Clark Medical Center, 800 Garfield Ave, Parkersburg, WV.
