Position Overview

The Technician role is a specialized, hands‑on position involving the precision assembly, repair, and integration of small-scale electronic components used in advanced imaging systems. This role is essential to the success of our Imaging Division, directly affecting the quality, reliability, and efficiency of our production processes. The Technician will work under the supervision of the Division Manager and coordinate with the Director of Operations to meet production targets while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Precision Electronic Assembly & Repair
    • Assemble and repair fine‑gauge wire harnesses and other small‑scale assemblies following detailed schematics and diagrams.
    • Work with delicate electronic components, ensuring accurate alignment and secure connections.
    • Assist in replacing and aligning optical or electronic subcomponents as required to restore full system functionality.
  2. Component Preparation
    • Select and prepare very small‑gauge wires in compliance with technical specifications.
    • Precisely strip and tin wires, ensuring optimal connection quality.
    • Inspect parts to identify defects or irregularities before assembly.
  3. Assembly Integration
    • Solder prepared wires to miniature electronic assemblies to exacting standards.
    • Apply protective materials post‑assembly to secure and protect components.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate assemblies into final products.
  4. Testing & Quality Control
    • Perform functional testing to verify component performance.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during testing.
    • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and other relevant industry regulations.
  5. Documentation & Compliance
    • Update and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
    • Follow established revision control processes.
    • Stay informed about relevant manufacturing and medical device standards.
  6. Production Targets & Process Improvement
    • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly production quotas.
    • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes and improve throughput.
Key Objectives
  • Achieve monthly production goals for the CCD Division.
  • Ensure all completed assemblies meet ENDOCORP’s quality benchmarks, minimizing rework or returns.
  • Support process improvements that reduce turnaround times and increase efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
    • Vocational or technical training in electronic assembly or microelectronics.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in fine‑gauge wire harness assembly in a production environment.
    • Working under microscope for full shift using fine eye‑motor skills.
    • Skilled in soldering, crimping, and using precision assembly tools.
    • Experience with PCB rework or repair is recommended.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong grasp of electrical systems, connectors, and wire types.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
    • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 quality systems.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Effective time management and prioritization.
    • Collaborative and adaptable team player.

This role is ideal for dedicated professionals with direct and recent experience in wire harness assembly, especially those skilled in handling small‑gauge wires like 40 AWG. If you are someone who goes the extra mile to ensure each assembly is effectively wired and tested, and you are eager to contribute to ENDOCORP’s growth and success, we encourage you to apply.
