Job summary

NET Centers/NET Community Care in Philadelphia seeks an experienced CCBHC Assessment Counselor to perform initial evaluations and manage admissions for OP and MHOP programs. You will handle referrals for clients ineligible for OP/MHOP while coordinating with Care Managers and Billing Specialists to ensure proper documentation for Medical Assistance submission.

You will work with the clinical team to manage caseloads and facilitate access to Behavioral Health insurance, driving timely admissions

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree or above in a related field with 2 years of clinical experience.
• Must meet full qualifications as an addiction counselor per Department of Drug and Alcohol Program regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong time management and communication skills.

Job description

SUMMARY:The CCBHC Assessment Counselor conducts the initial clinical evaluations and overall admissions process into the OP and MHOP programs based on CCBHC program needs. The CCBHC Assessment Counselor carries a caseload of OP and MHOP clients based on program needs. The CCBHC Assessment Counselor is responsible for referrals for persons deemed ineligible for OP or MHOP services. This position works closely with the Care Managers and Billing Specialists to ensure the completion of all required client documentation that needs to be submitted to the Philadelphia County Assistance Offices for clients to receive Medical Assistance and works to facilitate quick access to Behavioral Health Special Initiative emergency insurance and ultimately Community Behavioral Health insurance. This position also works closely with the clinical team to manage caseload assignments. In addition, the CCBHC Assessment Counselor collaborates with the clinical team to assist with other clinical matter such as evaluations and HLOC.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:· A Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college or university with a major in medicine, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field and 2 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent and/or dually-diagnosed clients.· Must meet full qualifications as an addiction counselor according to Department of Drug and Alcohol Program regulations.· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at the intermediate to advanced level· Excellent time management and organizational skills· Advanced oral and written communication skills in order to effectively problem-solve· Must be a team player, patient, flexible, and have the ability to multi-task· Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely and accurate fashion in a fast-paced environment
