Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. The RN provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinic setting, communicating with providers and staff about changes in clinical condition, test results, and treatment responses.

The nurse may handle inventory/ordering tasks and will cross-train in additional clinic responsibilities including lab rapid assays, reception and radiographic studies.

Qualifications

• RN degree with BLS certification and ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• 6 months required experience, 2-5 yrs clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the clinic setting.
• Communicate changes in patient condition or test results with providers, nurse manager, and coworkers.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, and utilize training from licensure.
• May have inventory/ordering responsibilities in addition to clinical duties.
• Cross train in laboratory rapid assays, reception, and radiographic studies.

JOB SUMMARY

The RN provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinic setting. He/she communicates with providers/nurse manager/co‑workers as appropriate, about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic evaluation and changes in patient condition or symptomatology. The nurse will be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, and avail his or herself of all training, skills and ability commonly developed through attainment of licensure in their field. The nurse may also have inventory/ordering responsibilities in addition to clinical responsibilities, and will expected to cross train in additional areas of clinic responsibilities including laboratory rapid assays, reception and radiographic studies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certifications: RN degree with BLS certification and to obtain both ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
