Job summary

Leidos is seeking a CBRNE Laboratory Technician for the DEVCOM CBC facility at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. You will perform wet chemistry analyses, operate GCMS, manage chemical inventories, and support decontamination science projects for the U.S. Warfighter.

The role requires collaborating with government staff and Leidos teams while ensuring compliance with CHP and safety protocols. A laboratory background and readiness to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience or AS degree in chemistry or related discipline with 2+ years experience.
• Experience with chemical handling, safety, and laboratory operations.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and report analytical data.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and store chemicals in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Perform duties in compliance with chemical hygiene plan (CHP).
• Contribute to generation of STI including presentations, publications, and dataset supplementation.
• Collaborate with engineers, chemists, and scientists on projects under Government direction.
• Articulate assignments, milestones, deadlines, and program issues clearly.
• Perform chemical analyses using GCMS techniques including liquid injection and thermal desorption.
