Job summary

Leidos is seeking a CBRNE Laboratory Technician at the DEVCOM CBC facility in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The role supports chemical decontamination research, testing, and evaluation with wet chemistry analyses and GCMS/FTIR operations. The position requires a high school diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience or an AS degree with 2+ years.

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance are mandatory; BS degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 4+ years relevant experience OR AS degree with 2+ years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience with chemical handling, safety, and laboratory operations (e.g. titration analyses, volumetric and gravimetric analyses).
• Demonstrated knowledge in analyzing and reporting analytical data.
• U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
• Must apply to US Army Chemical Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and store chemicals in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Operate analytical equipment including GCMS.
• Support researchers in development, test and evaluation of chemical decontamination products.
• Contribute to technical information through presentations, publications and datasets.
• Communicate assignments, milestones, and program issues clearly.
• Work with a team of engineers, chemists, and scientists on projects.
