Job summary

Leidos is seeking a CBRNE Laboratory Technician for the DEVCOM CBC facility at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role supports development, testing and evaluation of chemical decontamination products and projects, performing wet chemistry, GC-MS analyses, inventory management and hazardous waste documentation.

The candidate will work with federal staff and Leidos personnel, handling chemicals, maintaining safety practices, and producing technical information. U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 4+ years relevant experience or AS with 2+ years in chemistry or related field.
• Experience with chemical handling, safety and standard lab operations.
• Ability to analyze and report analytical data.
• Willingness to learn and be a team player.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Capable of performing tasks while wearing PPE.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• U.S. Citizenship required and able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
• Must apply and be admitted to the US Army Chemical Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and store chemicals per policies and procedures.
• Operate in accordance with the chemical hygiene plan.
• Generate STI such as presentations, papers, and datasets.
• Collaborate with engineers, chemists, and scientists on projects.
• Communicate assignments, milestones, and program issues clearly.
• Perform chemical analyses using GC-MS including liquid injection and TD.
