Job summary

Barbaricum is seeking a Journeyman Scientist – CBRN to provide critical support for programs focusing on chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats. Candidates will analyze complex technical challenges in support of homeland security objectives.

The role involves conducting research and technical assessments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and applying scientific expertise to enhance CBRN response strategies. Applicants must possess an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance and a degree in a relevant scientific field.

Qualifications

• Must have an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• 3-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Experience supporting major programs related to health consequences of CBRN events.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical expertise in support of CBRN programs.
• Conduct scientific analyses related to impacts of CBRN events.
• Support development of prevention, protection, and response strategies.

Skills

Operational scientific and technical analysis skills

Ability to define and resolve system issues

Experience in HS pillars of prevention and protection

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific, engineering, medical, veterinary, or public health field
