Towson University invites applications for a tenure-track, 9-month Assistant Professor position in the Department of Finance for August 2027 start. A PhD in Finance from an AACSB-accredited program is required; ABD candidates considered with degree completion by August 1, 2027.

A PhD in Financial Planning may be considered; CFA/CFP helpful, industry experience appreciated. Salary targeted at $150,000–$153,200 with TU benefits including health, life, retirement plans and tuition remission.

Position:
The College of Business and Economics invites applications for a tenure-track, 9-month Assistant Professor position in the Department of Finance beginning August 2027.

Qualifications:
PhD in Finance from an AACSB accredited institution. ABD applicants considered, but appointment will be at the Instructor rank and all degree requirements must be completed by August 1, 2027. A PhD in Financial Planning may be considered. Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students, promise of high-quality research, and the ability to work in a collaborative manner with colleagues and professional peers. Professional certifications such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) will be helpful. Industry experience is appreciated.

Salary and Benefits:
Targeted salary range: $150,000-$153,200
