CBA - Maintenance Controller - F5 Adversary Program - Fallon, NV

Role Overview

The Maintenance Controller is responsible for managing Maintenance Control programs, ensuring safety of flight, disseminating maintenance and aircraft priorities, and documenting aircraft maintenance actions. The role requires applying technical knowledge to resolve problems, providing guidance to aircraft maintenance staff, and potentially performing Lead duties when authorized.

Reporting Structure

Reports directly to the Maintenance Control Supervisor and Maintenance Manager, with oversight from Work Center Leads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Schedule and track all aircraft maintenance actions, coordinate activities, and ensure documentation accuracy to support daily flight schedules.
  2. Ensure compliance with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series programs and requirements.
  3. Coordinate daily flight schedule activities with squadron operations.
  4. Maintain thorough knowledge of applicable maintenance manuals, records, and aircraft systems.
  5. Schedule maintenance, inspections, corrosion inspections, aircraft washes, phase inspections, and transfer/acceptance inspections.
  6. Manage aircraft inventory, acceptance, transfer inspections, and monitor high-time component programs.
  7. Perform administrative duties using computer systems like NALCOMIS/OOMA and assist with parts ordering.
  8. Establish maintenance inspection schedules, assign work priorities, and coordinate daily maintenance activities.
  9. Ensure quality assurance compliance and maintain accurate records of all maintenance actions.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with aircraft/equipment movement, foreign object prevention, and safety inspections.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical data.
  • Operate support equipment and perform inventory and transfer inspections.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
Safety and Environmental Standards
  • Comply with hazardous waste and material programs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area, practice good housekeeping, tool control, and FOD prevention.
  • Utilize PPE and follow safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • Completion of U.S. Navy aviation maintenance control courses or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance, be a US citizen, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in technical writing, reading, and speaking English.
  • Customer service oriented with professional communication skills.
Physical and Environmental Conditions
  • Primarily office environment with occasional physical activities such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Work may include exposure to weather, noise, fumes, and electrical hazards.
Licensing and Certifications
  • Driver’s License, Egress/Explosive System Checkout, Safe for Flight.
