Join our team as a CBA Aircraft Mechanic (Unscheduled- Electrician) - T-45 Kingsville, TX at V2X Inc.

Job Overview

This role involves troubleshooting and rewiring complex avionics/electronic systems, performing inventory and acceptance inspections, providing technical guidance, and assisting with maintenance documentation. The position may require off-site service, traveling up to 25%, and working in various environments, including hangars, flight lines, and adverse weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform troubleshooting and rewiring of avionics/electronic systems and subsystems.
  2. Conduct aircraft inventory, acceptance, and transfer inspections.
  3. Provide technical assistance and guidance.
  4. Assist in P&E report preparation.
  5. Maintain aircraft per Navy, Manufacturer, and Company instructions.
  6. Use test and Ground Support Equipment effectively.
  7. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical data.
  8. Order parts, tools, and materials as needed.
  9. Document work on Maintenance Action Forms (MAF) or NALCOMIS System.
  10. Maintain cleanliness and adhere to FOD prevention and Tool Control programs.
  11. Ensure safety and proper use of equipment.
  12. Maintain accurate records of work performed.
  13. Perform computer input functions as required.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned and be willing to work rotating shifts.
  15. Obtain and maintain security clearances.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of recent aircraft electrical/avionics maintenance experience or completion of T45 OJT program.
  • Completion of U.S. Armed Forces aircraft avionics school or equivalent.
  • Ability to meet licensing and security requirements.
  • US citizenship and valid driver’s license.
Physical & Work Environment

Work involves physical activities like climbing, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The environment varies from indoor hangars to outdoor flight lines with potential exposure to noise, fumes, and electrical hazards.

Certifications & Training

Must obtain specific certifications within six months, including safety, hazard awareness, security, and operational training, among others.

Additional Requirements
  • Knowledge of Navy instructions, manuals, and safety procedures.
  • Experience in corrosion detection and prevention.
