CBA-Aircraft Mechanic II - Flight Line - CH-53 Reset, Miramar, CA

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform routine aircraft maintenance functions.
  • Demonstrate operational knowledge of aircraft fuel systems, flight controls, engines, transmissions, and rotor systems.
  • Qualified in MOS 6113 or equivalent, or possess valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
  • Operate aircraft towing equipment and maintain hydraulic systems.
  • Use hand tools properly and interpret maintenance manuals and directives.
  • Perform preventive inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and overhaul of aircraft and systems.
  • Service ground support equipment and complete maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA.
  • Develop and execute maintenance plans to meet aircraft turnaround times.
  • Manage aircraft parts requisition and maintain logs and compliance documentation.
  • Supervise subordinate personnel and assist in on-the-job training.
  • Handle hazardous materials per safety policies and perform duties using automated systems.
  • Provide customer support during launch and recovery when assigned to the flight line.
Additional Duties
  • Record work accomplished, perform functional checks, and maintain related records.
  • Use technical drawings and schematics as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of CH/MH-53E Power Plants and Related Systems Maintenance Course.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances and valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs and work with materials safely while wearing PPE.
