Essential Duties and Accountabilities
  1. Maintain assigned aircraft in accordance with customer, manufacturer and company procedures.
  2. Use provided test equipment and Ground Support Equipment to perform assigned tasks.
  3. Read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and other technical publications.
  4. Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials and equipment as required.
  5. Annotate maintenance actions on aircraft forms and Visual Information Display Systems (VIDS)/Maintenance Action Forms (MAF) or within Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) Systems.
  6. Comply with Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Waste, and Tool Control Programs.
  7. Ensure proper operation and use of special test equipment and Ground Support Equipment.
  8. Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.
  9. Perform off-site service on assigned detachments as required.
  10. Conduct corrosion maintenance and inspections as required.
  11. Assist to ensure safety, security and preservation of Government owned and Company owned equipment.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
  13. Willing and able to stand rotating shifts.
  14. Available to travel 25% of the time.
Qualifications Standards

Must have a minimum of High School diploma or equivalent. Must have three (3) years of experience within the last six (6) years performing repair and replacement of aircraft systems, components and accessories, as well as aircraft flight control and hydraulic systems or satisfactory completion of T45 OJT Program. Familiarity with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics and industry safety requirements is required. Must meet any Government/company licensing/qualification requirements for the position. FAA A&P License is desired. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Must be a US citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC card and government required security clearance. Must have a valid state driver’s license.

Physical Demands

This classification activity is usually accomplished in a hangar/shop/flight line environment and requires physical movements and postures associated with these activities. Physical Effort includes climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking and working in tiring uncomfortable positions. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally does not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment with little or no physical discomfort to one where inclement weather subjects individuals to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas with high noise hazards and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.
