Responsibilities
  • Shall have authority to direct Level I work center personnel to accomplish specific maintenance actions as required to accomplish maintenance tasking in accordance with Department of Labor Skill Code definitions.
  • Shall receive technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, and will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks.
  • Knowledgeable in automatic flight control, stabilization systems, weapons integration systems, and fuel quantity systems.
  • Provides technical support to electronic project engineers and utilizes excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet the daily flight schedule.
  • Provides technical guidance and expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • Candidate experience must be clearly defined on resumes by listing specific dates (month & year) and locations of relevant experience.
  • Shall have a minimum of five years US Navy/USMC/USCG O-Level CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) aircraft maintenance support experience.
  • Minimum five years Organizational Level Avionics/Electrical experience on F18 aircraft (24 of the 36 months within last 3 years preferred).
  • Knowledgeable in automatic flight control, stabilization systems, weapons integration systems, and fuel quantity systems.
  • May be required to become Plane Captain certified in accordance with approved certification process for each T/M/S applicable to their background.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Specialized training courses are desirable.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a current U.S. Secret clearance and be able to maintain it.
  • Must be available to work any shift.
  • Travel may be required.
