Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide on-site advisory support to the DTRA CB Defense Division in the Virginia area.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, program management, and interagency collaboration to advance chemical and biological defense technologies. The candidate will draft strategy, assess capability gaps, and coordinate across internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical science-related field.
• 5+ years of experience in science and technology project management.
• Active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret clearance.
• Able to work fully onsite based on client needs.
• Travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

• Provide Assistance and Advisory Support (AAS) to the DTRA CB Defense Department, RD-CBP.
• Offer subject matter expertise in chemical/biological threat detection and decontamination technologies.
• Draft and review technology transition agreements and long-range Broad Agency Announcements.
• Support meetings with government clients and performers; monitor programmatic metrics and funding.
• Develop presentations, papers, and documentation for technical and senior audiences.
