Job summary

Fabcon in Connecticut is hiring a Caulking Crew Supervisor to lead field crews on precast caulking projects. You will supervise work, ensure safety policies, and mentor teammates while coordinating with general contractors and sub-contractors on site.

Travel is required; candidates should have a valid driver’s license, two years of precast caulking experience, and ability to read shop drawings. OSHA-30 or higher is preferred; excellent teamwork and clear communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work concurrently with crew to complete job while supervising work.
• Ensure safety policies are followed on site.
• Train and mentor Caulking Crew members as needed.
• Provide work direction and promote teamwork amongst crew.
• Daily logging of crew hours for payroll accuracy.
• Represent the company on and off job sites with general contractors and subs.
• Follow ISO, OSHA, and DOT standards in daily work.
• Complete new hire paperwork for local union members when required.
• Provide daily reporting via tablet to administrative personnel.
• Contribute to project pre-planning and follow field plans.
• Keep supervisors informed of progress and completion estimates.
• Report resource issues to supervisors promptly.
• Verify caulk details before starting the job.
• Review plans, prepare estimates, and order caulking materials.
• Complete caulking efficiently and consistently.

Basic Qualifications

• Possess excellent work habits and be able to demonstrate them to subordinates

• Ability to foresee potential problems and take necessary action to prevent the problems from occurring
• Ability to work in an organized manner and adapt readily to change
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Completion of OSHA 30-hour

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel
• Ability to work extensive overtime when required
• Ability to work from ladders and aerial work platforms
• Field: Must be able to traverse uneven ground, move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, climb on a flatbed semi-trailer
