Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Identifies pens to be cleaned through communication with management and receiving personnel.
• Maintains roads, bunk pads, pens, and alleys by filling holes, controlling dust and removing manure; preserves hard pack and pen slope; operates heavy equipment.
• Helps ensure a continuous water supply for cattle by repairing water systems and tanks.
• Mows grass/weeds and sweeps bunks by operating tractor/mower; replaces broken cables or fencing; paints or repaints pens and buildings.
• Ensures equipment operation by completing servicing requirements (fueling, fluids, filters, greasing, cleaning) as directed by the manager.
• Complies with all applicable safety rules and policies.
