Job summary

Select Sires Inc. is seeking a Livestock Technician to join our production team in Westby, Wisconsin. This role supports cattle handling, semen collection, and daily production activities that drive industry-leading dairy and beef genetics for producers across the U.S. and beyond.

Starting wage is $19.00+ per hour. The position is full-time, hourly, non-exempt with a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work safely around cattle.
• Attention to detail and good communication are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect semen using established safety protocols.
• Handle bulls to stimulate semen collection.
• Feed, clean, move, and monitor dairy and beef cattle.
• Support health testing, veterinary treatments, and hoof-trimming activities.
• Operate company vehicles and farm equipment.
• Maintain facilities, equipment and work areas.
• Follow biosecurity, safety and production quality standards.
• Collaborate to achieve production goals.
