Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking diligent ranch staff to tend cattle, calves, and perform daily ranch duties in a winter operation. Responsibilities include feeding, checking water, monitoring cow condition, and assisting with vaccinations, branding, and calving.

Housing and meals are employer-provided, with occasional vehicle transport to field sites. Experience with cattle and a valid insurable driver’s license are required; lifting 50 pounds is expected.

Qualifications

• 3 months experience as a farmworker working with cattle.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Valid, insurable driver’s license or eligibility to obtain one within 45 days of arrival.

Responsibilities

• Tend cattle on cornstalks and calves in drylots; check waters and body conditions.
• Administer medication as needed and assist with vaccination program.
• Gather cattle, tagging, doctoring, birthing, and branding; support calving duties.
• Set up temporary, moveable enclosures and perform general ranch tasks.
• Transport workers or supplies using employer-owned vehicles as needed.
