Friona Industries seeks a Doctoring Crew member for our Kansas feedyard to support cattle health and welfare. You will work with the team and veterinarian to deliver quality care and maintain health records. The role emphasizes adherence to Beef Quality Assurance and accurate data entry.

We value reliability, honesty, and teamwork, with exposure to outdoor elements and demanding physical activity. Prior doctoring crew experience is preferred; training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• One year doctoring crew experience.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work in varied weather conditions and maintain sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Beef Quality Assurance standards and practices
• Administers prescribed treatment and medication to livestock
• Handles medications and medical supplies for cattle health
• Maintains equipment and facilities used by feedyard livestock
• Determines mortality and records information in health records
• Records pen number and ear tag number in the feedyard system
• Maintains accurate records and notifies relevant data
• Recognizes sick cattle and assists in diagnosis
• Keeps facilities sanitary and clean
• Cleans and maintains sick pen water troughs daily
• Observes safety policies and participates in company programs
• Performs other duties for feedyard effectiveness
