Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as an accompanist in a Catholic church or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide musical accompaniment for Catholic Masses and services.
• Play piano/organ for congregational singing and choir performances.
• Collaborate with the Music Director and Catholic Priest on music selection.
• Attend weekly choir rehearsals.
• Accompany special liturgical celebrations like Christmas and weddings.
• Assist in maintaining high musical quality during worship.
• Prepare prelude, offertory, and postlude music.
• Comply with copyright laws for music performance.
• Maintain and care for chapel musical instruments.

Skills

Strong familiarity with Catholic liturgical music

Proficiency in playing piano and/or organ

Ability to sight-read and transpose

Collaboration skills with choir directors and clergy
