Job summary

Ladgov Corporation in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a skilled Accompanist to provide musical support for Catholic Masses, liturgies, and special services. The ideal candidate will have strong familiarity with Catholic liturgical music, proficiency in piano and/or organ, and at least two years of experience in a similar role. Responsibilities include playing for congregational singing, collaborating with the Music Director, attending choir rehearsals, and maintaining high musical quality during worship. Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

• Provide musical accompaniment for Catholic Masses, liturgies, and special services.

• Collaborate with the Catholic Music Director and Catholic Priest to select appropriate liturgical music.
• Attend and participate in weekly choir rehearsals.
• Accompany special liturgical celebrations, including Christmas, Easter, Holy Days of Obligation, weddings, and sacramental ceremonies.
• Assist in maintaining a high standard of musical quality, ensuring a prayerful and reverent worship experience.
• Prepare prelude, offertory, and postlude music that aligns with the liturgical calendar and Mass structure.
• Comply with copyright laws when selecting and performing music.
• Maintain the chapel’s musical instruments, ensuring proper care and usage.

Requirements:
