Seton Teaching Fellows is a year-long, fully funded service program that places fellows in Seton Education Partners network schools across New York, Texas, and Ohio to teach catechesis and provide classroom education.

Fellows live in the neighborhoods of our schools, participate in ongoing coaching and professional development, and benefit from biweekly stipends, housing, relocation support, and opportunities for further study or licensure.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• A desire to teach the fullness of the Catholic faith.
• The ability to socially and professionally connect with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds.
• A growth mindset rooted in optimism and collaboration.
• Willingness to live and participate in a communal men's or women's household, receive faith formation, and pray with others.
• Willingness and ability to work and teach in schools and classrooms with Pre-K through 8th-grade students, as well as to receive professional development and training pertaining to their professional role.
• At least two years of college experience.
• Core belief that all children can achieve both moral and academic excellence.

Responsibilities

• Fellows will teach catechesis classes to students at our network of schools.
• Fellows live in the neighborhood where our schools are located and serve during school hours, Monday-Friday.
• Fellows participate in rigorous instructional coaching and professional development sessions.
• Fellows take part in community, sacramental faith life, and formation initiatives.
