Job summary

Diocese of St. Augustine seeks a part-time Teacher-Minister (Spanish) to support St. Michael Academy in its Catholic mission. Under the principal's direction, you will integrate faith formation with Spanish instruction and provide classroom leadership.

You will develop lesson plans, maintain classroom discipline, and collaborate with staff to plan religious and service activities while ensuring compliance with diocesan religious standards and Florida certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Must maintain Professional Educator certification in Florida or have a valid Letter of Endorsement.
• Must obtain Basic Diocesan Ministry Certification within two years.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred when required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish within a Catholic school setting.
• Integrate Catholic religious curriculum with subject instruction.
• Collaborate with principal to build faith community and plan activities.
• Prepare lesson plans to meet academic goals as set by the school.
• Maintain classroom discipline and promote a positive, respectful environment.
