The Coordinator works with theSeniorDirectortoanimateSocial Outreach programs and ministries at a Diocesan level. This isaccomplishedin part byworking directly with parishesand other Catholic and community organizationson program development that serves the poor and vulnerable in alignment with Catholic identity and theBishop’svision and priority goals for the Diocese.

Education: A Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Social Work, or Catholic Educator Certification
Experience: Previousexperience in community organizing, church ministry, or advocacy. Experience in Social Work or direct outreach/Christian service.
Job Related Skills: Comprehensive understanding of Catholic Social Doctrine, Magisterial documents, and Church structure;excellent oral and written communication skills and knowledge of officeequipment. Knowledge of Microsoft software applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Excel,and PowerPoint).
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment.
Language skills: Strong oral and written communication skills arerequired;abilityto read andcomprehendinstructions, write correspondence, and memos. Be comfortable speaking in public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtracttwo-digitnumbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry outdetailedinvolvedwritten or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
