Job summary

Available Positions seeks a Teacher Aide/Paraprofessional to support teachers and inclusion specialists in a Catholic school setting. The role focuses on academic, behavioral, and spiritual support for students, with emphasis on inclusive education and Christ-centered learning.

The paraprofessional collaborates to implement strategies, monitor progress, and maintain a respectful classroom that reflects Catholic teachings and community values.

Qualifications

• Practicing Catholic preferred or commitment to Catholic education.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or paraprofessional certificate preferred.
• Experience with children in educational or pastoral settings preferred.
• Understanding of child development and ability to adapt to learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and inclusion specialists with instructional strategies and accommodations.
• Provide small group or one-on-one instruction under supervision.
• Monitor student engagement and task completion during instruction and transitions.
• Collect data on student progress and behavior as directed.
• Maintain documentation logs and organization of materials for differentiated instruction.
• Support student independence, responsibility and confidence in learning.
• Foster positive, respectful interactions and reinforce Catholic values.
• Communicate professionally with students, families and school staff.
• Report student concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain safe, respectful school environments and professional appearance.
