Archdiocese of Chicago’s St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic School seeks a qualified Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

The Teacher, a ministerial employee and Catholic representative, will promote Catholic education, faith formation, and academic excellence in a Pre-K through 8th grade setting. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic (preferred), holds a bachelor’s degree, and meets state licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• State licensure for the grade/subject area preferred.
• Catholic identity formation training required.

Responsibilities

• Teach in accordance with Catholic doctrinal and moral teachings.
• Act as a role model for religious formation and as representative of Archdiocese of Chicago.
• Follow religious and educational mission, policies and procedures.
• Lead or participate in Catholic identity formation training as required.
• Lead religious instruction and participate in church activities as directed by the principal.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues and principal.
• Participate in professional development programs required by Archdiocese and local school.
• Perform teaching duties and attend required staff meetings.
• Cooperate with the principal and staff in meetings and projects.
• Maintain accurate attendance and academic records.
• Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
• Participate in annual performance review.
