Job summary

Archdiocese of Chicago seeks a qualified Art Teacher for a weekly class in a Catholic school for the 2026-2027 year. The role requires modeling Catholic doctrine, guiding student learning, and collaboration with the principal and staff.

You will expose students to diverse art forms with a well-equipped room, maintaining records and participating in professional development as required by the Archdiocese.

Qualifications

• Must be Practicing Catholic (prefered for religion teachers)
• Must meet compliance with safe environment requirements
• Must hold Bachelor’s degree
• Must have valid state licensure for the grade/subject area (preferred)
• Must complete Catholic identity formation training

Responsibilities

• Teach and act in accordance with Catholic doctrinal and moral teachings
• Act as a role model and representative of the Archdiocese of Chicago
• Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records
• Maintain a safe, orderly and secure learning environment
• Attend required faculty meetings and collaborate with staff
