This full-time role requires a baptized and confirmed Catholic, a high school diploma, and AMS catechist certification within one year, plus experience coordinating volunteers and sacramental preparation for youth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required; religious education/theology/ministry preferred.
• Must become certified as a Catechist through the Archdiocese for the Military Services within one year of contract start.
• Experience in Catholic religious education, catechesis, or church ministry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual Catholic Religious Education Program.
• Coordinate registration and maintain student enrollment records.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer catechists.
• Plan and coordinate First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation preparation.
• Organize sacramental retreats, service projects, youth conferences, pilgrimages, and seasonal events.
• Develop calendars, lesson plans, curricula, and educational materials.
• Coordinate with Chaplain, DRE, chapel staff, and volunteers to ensure successful execution of activities.
